Since being sworn in as a trustee at the Pleasanton school board meeting on Dec. 13, 2016, it has been my pleasure to represent the students, parents, and community of Pleasanton during my first four-year term on the school board.
I am excited to announce my run for a second term and would be deeply honored to have your support. While we have implemented positive changes to our schools these past four years, we continue to have work to do.
My focus will remain on student achievement, particularly through programs aimed at helping our underserved students who are at risk for not meeting state standards. I will continue to work for robust staff development so our teachers can deliver the best learning opportunities for students.
We must also continue refurbishing and upgrading our aging school buildings. We certainly face immediate and great challenges as we start the new school year amid the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak. My priority is to ensure all students, teachers, and staff remain healthy and can forge ahead with quality at-home education until everyone can safely return to the classroom.
I look forward to serving our school community for another four years and humbly request your support.
